Ernst Middendorp wants Abia Nale stay at Maritzburg United PSL transfer news

Posted: 7 June 2016 Time: 13:21

Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp wants to retain the services of Abia Nale for next season.

Nale only played six times for Maritzburg after joining the side on a short-term deal in November following his departure from Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Middendorp, however, believes the ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger can play a key role for the Team of Choice in 2016/17.

"We have to check with the management first and I definitely have an ambition to keep him. I know with good preparation and time he is a good professional," says Middendorp of the 29-year-old.

"He’s qualified player and we don’t have to talk about his qualification although he didn’t come immediately and deliver. But how he worked it was fantastic.

"With preparation time on his side he can be very crucial in our attack."

Nale has also had spells at Golden Arrows and and Ajax Cape Town.
