Siyanda Zwane: Mamelodi Sundowns deserve league and Telkom Knockout triumph

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyanda Zwane says the team deserved to win the league and Telkom Knockout this season given their efforts on the training ground.
The Brazilians, who beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-1 in the TKO final in December, claimed Absa Premiership honours with a record 71 points from 30 matches - 14 points clear of runners-up Bidvest Wits.
Zwane insists their success is no accident.
"At Sundowns you start the gym at eight in the morning and you are out at four later in the day because in the morning you at training and at ten you are done," the right-back tells KickOff.com.
"After that at twelve you are going to the video session and watching videos of our next opponent and analysing them. So it was a lot of hard work. To be where we are we have earned this and we really did work hard."
He adds: "When you have a wife you end up fighting with her and sometimes you have been away for four days and when you arrive back home, you are watching matches that you played.
"You want to analyse them and you want to make notes because you want to improve every game and end up not having her time so we truly worked hard. It was not like finish training and go home… no."
Pitso Mosimane's men were recently handed a life-line in the CAF Champions League following the disqualification of AS Vita Club for fielding an ineligible player.
Downs will start their Group B campaign against Algerian side ES Setif on June 17.
