Sibusiso Khumalo thrilled to join Kaizer Chiefs from SuperSport United

Posted: 3 June 2016 Time: 14:54

Former SuperSport United defender Sibusiso Khumalo says it is a dream come true to join Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The 26-year-old has linked up with Chiefs as part of a swap deal involving fellow left-back Keegan Ritchie.

Khumalo was also previously on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows.

"Every player dreams of playing for big clubs," Khumalo tells

"When you meet people on the streets you ask them about which teams you want to play for and he or she will tell you about Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

"When I was growing up it was a team I wanted to play for. So it happened at this stage, so I’m very happy.

"Also there is this thing in my mind that I want to return and represent my country by playing for these teams, so I’m ready."

The Bafana Bafana international will battle Tsepo Masilela for game-time at Amakhosi following the departure of Levy Mokgothu from Naturena.
