Trouble brewing at Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 2 June 2016 Time: 14:10

KickOff.com has learnt that some of the Kaizer Chiefs players released by the club this week are reluctant to accept their clearance letters.

Amakhosi are facing some backlash over the decision to release 20 players, with SAFPU general secretary Thulaganyo Gaoshubelwe telling The Sowetan that it amounts to breach of contract in some cases.

Now KickOff.com has learnt that some players are unhappy with what they have been offered as settlement fees and are demanding more money before they sign the clearance letters.

However, it seems some of the players will have no problem finding employment elsewhere – this website has been informed that Black Leopards have approached Shandukani Mulovhedzi, Chris Matombo and Zitha Macheke with regards to joining the club.
