Burundian striker Fiston Abdoul Razak is facing an uncertain future at Mamelodi Sundowns following his return from a half-season loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic.
Razak remains under contract at Sundowns but will be sad to hear that he hasn’t been mentioned in the club’s plans going forward.
The club appears settled on the options they have up front with their minds biased towards bringing in a younger local talent from their MultiChoice Diski Challenge team, which leaves Razak in a tight situation.
The 24-year-old scored on debut in his time at Sundowns but was then loaned out in January to Celtic after falling down the pecking order with only two starts and one substitute appearance to show for his half-season at Chloorkop.
At Celtic he fared better scoring four goals and though he impressed, Siwelele have not been forthcoming about if they really want to extend his stay at the club.
For now Razak has headed back home to feature for his homeland in a 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against Senegal this weekend.
Though Burundi are second in Group K behind runaway leaders Senegal, he is the leading scorer in these qualifiers with five goals.
