National U-23 coach Owen da Gama has labelled Golden Arrows winger Thembela Sikhakhane one of the finds of the season.
The fleet-footed Sikhakhane has been included in South Africa's 20-man squad for next month's Cosafa Castle Cup in Namibia.
The core of the team is expected to do duty at the upcoming Rio Olympics.
"Thembela Sikhakhane from Golden Arrows has been fantastic and he can also play as right wing," Da Gama tells KickOff.com.
"For me he is one of the greatest finds of this season and he is just an absolute gem.
"My message to him, I think he must just continue with this form and continue working hard.
"He’s such a versatile player so I’m really excited about players like Thembela to come in."
Sikhakhane made 21 league starts for Abafana Bes'thende this season, his third with the Durban-based outfit.
The 23-year-old's Arrows teammate Nkosingiphile Gumede is also in the Cosafa Cup squad.
