“This team, every single time we’ve gone down in this tournament we just seem to come back, I think we went behind in every single round almost, but we just seem to find a way back, incredible team spirit again,” Morton told SuperSport.

“Second half was just chasing the game, trying to just keep the ball out of the net to be honest. We didn't really have much of the game in the second half but that’s character, the boys just held on for everything and we got the winner so extremely happy.”

The hard-working midfielder revealed that his beard was a bit of a good-luck charm for his side.

“I told my wife I would shave if we lose a game. It looks like it’s going to be a long off-season with this thing. My wife’s not very happy, but what can you do?”
