SuperSport's Ronwen Williams predicts goal-fest in Nedbank Cup final with Orlando Pirates

Posted: 24 May 2016 Time: 13:13

SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is expecting a goal-fest in the Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Williams believes both sides, who played to a 2-2 draw in their last league match of the season last weekend, have strikers capable of doing damage in Polokwane.

“I'm sure there will be a lot of goals because there are good strikers in both sides. They have Ndoro in them and we have Jeremy Brockie, Kingston Nkhatha and Bradley Grobler with us, so I'm sure there will be a lot of goals,” Williams says.

Williams will be taking part in his fifth final with Matsatsantsa a Pitori, having previously won the Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout.

“It's always nice to win silverware. In my short time career, I achieved a lot and to add another silverware that will be perfect," he adds.

“We managed to change our season around. Everyone forgot about SuperSport and things are now looking up for this team and I'm very happy and to add silverware it will be good.

“This is the final you don't need any extra motivation, and this will be a perfect cherry on top of what we have done in the second half of the season with the coach Stuart Baxter.”

Kick-off is at 15h00.
