Nine players will miss the final day of the 2015/16 PSL season through suspension, with Eric Tinkler without two of his charges in Orlando Pirates’ important clash with SuperSport United.
The Buccaneers will have to do without striker Thamsanqa Gabuza and defender Ayanda Gcaba when they face-off against Matsantsantsa in a crucial encounter to secure a top eight finish this season, with the two sides set to lock horns again the following weekened in the Nedbank Cup final.
Maritzburg United talisman Kurt Lentjies is suspended for his side’s relegation nail-biter against Jomo Cosmos, who themselves will be without Frederic Nsabiyumva and Sibusiso Kumalo.
Edgar Manaka’s yellow card against University of Pretoria last time out rules him out of Polokwane City’s clash away at Bloemfontein Celtic, who will be without the services of Alfred Ndengane.
Abbubaker Mobara’s red card in Ajax Cape Town’s penultimate match of the season sees him missing out the Urban Warriors’ clash against Bidvest Wits, while Angelo Kerspuy won’t be donning Free State Stars colours again this season as he is suspended for their last game versus Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Misdemeanours from Ajax coach Roger De Sa and Stars coach Giovanni Solinas in their previous encounters means both are also serving suspensions and will not be on the bench to guide their respective teams in Saturday’s grand PSL finale.
All suspensions for Saturday, 21 May:
Ajax Cape Town
Roger De Sa
Free State Stars
