Ajax Cape Town captain Travis Grahan says he is flattered with reports linking him to the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The midfielder has had another stellar season for the Urban Warriors, playing 22 games in the League and helping his team to the MTN8 title.
“Personally I feel I’m ready to make the next big step,” Graham tells KickOff.com.
“I’ve been with Ajax most of my career and have grown immensely. I’ve learnt a heck of a lot during my time at Ikamva.
“I have not had any contact from any club in Joburg yet, but should Chiefs or Pirates come knocking, I’ll be ready to make that step. I’m honestly very flattered by these reports.”
Ajax coach Roger de Sa says the club will not stand in any player’s way should the right offer come along.
“Look, Ajax is a selling club. We develop youngsters for the senior team through our academy. The players we sell will automatically make way for the new talent.
“We don’t have a big boss with a big cheque-book, hence we need to sell to sustain the club. If a player has a chance to better his career then why not?”
Ajax welcome Bidvest Wits on Saturday in the final League match of the season at Cape Town Stadium, and De Sa says they are looking to use the ‘dead rubber’ as preparation for next season.
“And there is still a matter of pride to play for. We could also possibly move up one or two places,” De Sa adds.
