Collins Mbesuma will go into the final week of the the Absa Premiership season with a one-goal lead in the race for the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award.
The Mpumalanga Black Aces striker has been leading the scoring charts for a few months now, though he has in recent weeks seen his lead cut at the top.
The burly Zambian is currently on 14 goals, one clear of Ajax Cape Town’s Prince Nxumalo and two ahead of Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango.
However, Mbesuma will back himself to add to his tally on the final weekend as Aces host a leaky Free State Stars.
Nxumalo, who has missed large chunks of the season through illness, will have a slightly tougher task as League runners-up Bidvest Wits visit Cape Town Stadium.
Mncwango will have an equally tough ask when Rise & Shine travel to the Free State to take on Bloemfontein Celtic, who have only conceded four goals in their last seven matches.
Other players on double figures who are still in with an outside chance are Jeremy Brockie and Khama Billiat (both 11), and Leonardo Castro and Ndumiso Mabena (both 10).
