Utility player Tintswalo Tshabalala says his Platinum Stars side are well-motivated for the last two games of the season as they look to secure continental football qualification.
Dikwena currently sit third in the PSL standings, two points ahead of Kaizer Chiefs and still within reach of fifth-placed Mpumalanga Black Aces who lie a further two points back with just two games left in the season.
Stars face Bloemfontein Celtic this week, before a season finale against newly-crowned champions Mamelodi Sundowns, and Tshabalala is desperate for his club to hold on to their CAF qualification berth.
“These last two games are a must win,” he told his club’s official website. “We have to do well so that we can play in Africa. Most of the guys wish to play in CAF. We are ready. We had a target at the beginning of the season. Our target was to be in the top five so we have done well.”
Dikwena’s clash against Celtic will be their last home game of the season, and Tshabalala is confident his side can please the home faithful with an entertaining match-up, combined with a full complement of points.
“It’s a game that we must win because it’s a home game,” he said. “We have to work hard and win the game. It’s going to be a lovely game for our supporters. They must come in numbers because we are going to win the game.
“I don’t think it’s going to be a difficult game. I am confident we will get the three points. I am confident because we play as a team. You can look at the way we played against Orlando Pirates and we went to Free State Stars and did the same.”
Kick-off against Celtic on Wednesday is set for 19:30.
