Polokwane City midfielder Cole Alexander reaction to SuperSport United clash

Posted: 8 May 2016 Time: 17:25

Man of the Match Cole Alexander says Polokwane City showed character to earn a point against SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership on Sunday.

City twice came from behind to draw 2-2, with substitute Tshepo Matsemela netting a last-gasp equaliser at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Alexander, who will join Matsatsantsa at the end of the season, gave credit to his teammates for their battling spirit on the day.

"It was difficult to play against SuperSport, they are organised," Alexander said.

"Our guys did very well to come back from two goals. Credit to the guys, they showed character," added the ex-Ajax Cape Town midfielder.

Rise and Shine coach Julio Leal was seemingly satisfied to go home with a point, unlike Matsatsantsa counterpart Stuart Baxter.

"It's a big team, a big club, a big coach. We are going home with one point," the Brazilian concluded.
