Mhango does it again

Golden Arrows beat Free State Stars 1-0 in an Absa Premiership clash at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Unsurprisingly, the only goal of the match came from Hellings Mhango, who followed up his four goals against Mpumalanga Black Aces last week with another against Stars.

It came on 27 minutes, and again Kuda Mahachi was the provider, though the Stars defence was nowhere to be seen.

Arrows had the better of the chances throughout, with the Mahachi/Mhango combination causing plenty of problems, while Andile Fikizolo hit the upright late on as well.

Home goalkeeper Maximilian Mbaeva was called upon to make a few crucial saves as well, particularly from Makhehlene Makhaula with 10 minutes remaining, but Arrows were well worth the win.

The result sees the KZN side close the gap on eighth-placed SuperSport United to just one point. Free State Stars are 11th with 33 points from 27 games.
