Goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro can’t pinpoint AmaZulu inconsistencies

AmaZulu goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro says he can’t explain his club’s inconsistencies this season, as Usuthu brace themselves for another season in the National First Division.
The KwaZulu-Natal club’s winless streak extended to five matches following their goalless draw against African Warriors on the weekend, a result that left it mathematically impossible to secure a top-three finish and a possible place in the PSL play-offs.
This means another season in the NFD for Usuthu, with goalkeeper Murambadoro unable to explain what lead to their stuttering form over the campaign.
“For now I cannot pin point the real reason behind our inconsistencies in the league,” he told his club’s official website.
“At times we have shown glimpse of brilliance in some games – winning matches convincingly.
“Sometimes we have had bad performances that’s why I’m saying we had an average season.”
The Zimbabwean hopes to finish the season strongly before looking back on what went wrong.
“We shall look at all contributing factors at the end of the season and reflect on where it went wrong for us,” he added.
AmaZulu currently sit eighth in the NFD standings, and take on Black Leopards in their next match on Saturday.
