Kaizer Chiefs ended a five-game winless run in the league with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at University of Pretoria on Wednesday night.
Willard Katsande scored a later decider after Reneilwe Letsholonyane cancelled out Vuyisile Ntombayithethi's early opener for the relegation-threatened hosts at Tuks Stadium.
AmaTuks drew blood five minutes in via a fine strike from Ntombayithethi.
At the other end, Bernard Parker flashed a shot narrowly wide on the half-hour mark after Keegan Ritchie's cross was flicked on by George Maluleka.
Amakhosi equalised in the 72nd minute via substitute Letsholonyane, who poked home after Tristyn Coetsee saved an effort from Parker.
AmaTuks will feel hard done by, as moments earlier they had a strong penalty shout turned down when Thabo Mnyamane was fouled in the area by Maluleka.
Katsande then piled on the misery for Shaun Bartlett's charges when he headed in a corner in the 85th minute.
The Glamour Boys, who were winless in their previous eight games in all competitions, are now third on the Absa Premiership table with four matches left.
Tuks remain above the drop zone on goal difference, ahead of Jomo Cosmos and Maritzburg United, who are a point further back.
