Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral says Jackson Mabokgwane's confidence has taken a hit but he backs the goalkeeper to bounce back.
Mabokgwane has been on the bench the past two games following a poor display in a 2-2 draw with Kaizer Chiefs on April 12.
Shu-Aib Walters has since reclaimed the number one jersey at AmaZayoni.
"It's not about mistakes. We all do mistakes," says Ertugral of his decision to drop the Bafana Bafana international.
"It is also about Shu-Aib doing well. Actually Shu-Aib is also a great keeper and Jackson's confidence has been a little bit down because of mistakes we had. He is a good keeper, he will have a chance again."
Ertugral also insists he had to take a hard line with suspended midfielder Tshidio Tukane.
"The management even decided to give him a high salary. The management have done everything but at the end there is no negotiation with ill-discipline.
"We have a lot of youngsters here, you can't come one day and not come the other day. This is work, you can't decide as player to stay away a couple of days and you don’t come to the training session.
"He is a great player we all know that. We would have loved to have him here but at the end of the day there is no negotiation in terms of discipline."
