Ajax Cape Town defender Mosa Lebusa pleased to contain Kaizer Chiefs

Mosa Lebusa feels Ajax Cape Town's defence was superb in the goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs in Johannesburg on the weekend.

The left-back was named Man of the Match for his efforts at FNB Stadium.

"It was a tough game, especially away against Chiefs," Lebusa told his club's official website.

"We did our best, we tried, we created chances, but unfortunately we just couldn’t score. I think our defence was superb. We did everything right. You can play well but if you don’t score you don’t win games. So the focus right now is to get three points."

Ajax coach Roger de Sa felt neither team impressed in the opening half.

"The first 45 was very poor. All round the football was poor from both teams. I think they edged it a bit in the first half. Second half I think we got a bit better, we had some good clear chances. At the end of the day it’s not a bad result for us. I told the players we were going to get 60-40 from the officials, but I was wrong."

The Urban Warriors will next host log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at Cape Town Stadium on April 27.

De Sa's side are 10th on the Absa Premiership table with 32 points from 25 games.
