Injured Denis Onyango to see specialist about hamstring

Posted: 14 April 2016 Time: 16:28

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango is set to miss the Absa Premiership game against Jomo Cosmos in Tshwane this weekend due to a hamstring injury.

Onyango was stretchered off the field during the league match against Polokwane City in Limpopo last night after aggravating an injury he picked up against AS Vita in the CAF Champions League.

He was later replaced by Kennedy Mweene. The Brazilians beat City 3-1 to keep their hopes of winning the league title alive.

Both Onyango and midfielder Mzikayise Mashaba, who is also struggling with a knee problem, are set to meet specialists before the weekend to determine the extent of their injuries.
