Edgar Manaka says Polokwane City are not focusing on individuals ahead of tonight's clash with Mamelodi Sundowns, who will have 'CBD' back in operation at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
CBD is a moniker for Sundowns' influential attacking trio of Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly.
Billiat is set to return to the Brazilians line-up after missing his side's 1-0 loss to AS Vita in the CAF Champions League on the weekend through suspension.
Both clubs are desperate for points as Rise and Shine are wary of relegation, while Downs are chasing Absa Premiership honours at the top of the table.
"We have been working hard at training, preparing for this game," City midfielder Manaka tells KickOff.com.
"Besides the tactics, the coach has instilled self-belief in the team and we are going to treat this game like a cup final.
"We not preparing for any individual but the whole team. They are number one on the log at the moment. They deserve respect but unfortunately they are coming to Polokwane with us also desperate for three points."
Meanwhile, Manaka, who recently scored the winner against his former team Platinum Stars, is eager to compete after struggling with injuries over the past two seasons.
"No soccer player likes to stay on the sidelines. It has been tough but I am grateful for the opportunity that Polokwane City has given me to play football again.
"It was nice scoring a goal against Platinum Stars and this has added confidence in my play."
