Sundowns' Modise, Ngele, Laffor doubtful for CAF Champions League clash with AS Vita

Mamelodi Sundowns are sweating over the fitness of Teko Modise, Mogakolodi Ngele and Anthony Laffor ahead of their CAF Champions League clash with AS Vita in Kinshasa on Sunday.

Modise has a bruised shin, while fellow attackers Ngele and Laffor sustained knocks on international duty with Botswana and Liberia respectively.

Defender Thabo Nthethe has "mild flu" but should be fine to travel to Democratic Republic of Congo tomorrow, according to an update on the club's official website.

Rheece Evans is also carrying an ankle injury and will continue with his rehabilitation.

The Brazilians are notably without star playmaker Khama Billiat and Ivorian defender Bangaly Soumahoro through suspension.

The second round, first leg tie will start at 16h30 at Stade Tata-Raphael.
