Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler is pleased with the contribution Luvuyo Memela has made since he was given an opportunity at the club.
The 28-year-old midfielder has been enjoying some game-time recently and has been putting in impressive performances for the Buccaneers, not putting a foot wrong.
He has made seven appearances this season in all competitions and was rewarded when he opened his scoring account when he netted the second goal for Pirates in their 3-1 victory over Jomo Cosmos in the Nedbank Cup last 16 this past weekend.
“Luvuyo is getting better and better game after game and that's expected because we know the talent that he has,” Tinkler says.
“But it is not easy to come to a club like Orlando Pirates and just fit in straight away and put in great performances. That's not easy, it takes time.
“Sometimes we have to show a little bit of patience, us as coaches, with the players and obviously our fans as well.”
Memela joined Pirates from Cape Town All Stars at the beginning of the season and he is starting to make a real claim for the right-wing position with his impressive displays.
