Matthew Booth laments trio’s exclusion

Posted: 22 March 2016 Time: 21:02

Matthew Booth believes the current Bafana Bafana squad would have been much stronger with the inclusions of Keagan Dolly, Wayne Arendse and Buhle Mkhwanazi.

The former South African international tells that he is a strong believer in current form and does not comprehend the criteria used given that the trio did not make the cut.

“Look, if I was the coach I would have included a few others considering that these two matches are do-or-die ties,” Booth tells this website.

“I am strong believer in current form and right now it does not make any sense that Keagan Dolly, Wayne Arendse and Buhle Mkhwanazi are not a part of the national team. They’ve all done tremendously well and they all deserve to be there.

“Maybe other guys, considering the criticality of the matches, I wouldn’t have called up, but then we all see things differently.”
