Polokwane City hand a contract to Tshepo 'Jomo' Matsemela

Polokwane City have handed a contract to young midfielder Tshepo 'Jomo' Matsemela.

The 20-year-old has signed as a free agent and made his debut for the club in their Nedbank Cup Last 32 victory over African All Stars, while he started in last night's 1-0 league loss to Bidvest Wits.

Matsemela played for Portuguese third-tier side Tourizense last season alongside junior internationals Thibang Phete and Pule Maraisane.

He was arguably the most productive of those exports last season, making 30 appearances for the team.

He is another product of Farouk Khan’s Stars of Africa Academy that has produced the likes of May Mahlangu, Tokelo Rantie, Maraisane and Luther Singh in recent years.
