Ian Gorowa and two players named in match-fixing scandal

Posted: 9 March 2016 Time: 15:00

A Zimbabwean newspaper has named Ian Gorowa and two PSL players as among those involved in the latest match-fixing scandal to rock the country.

Gorowa, until recently in charge of Moroka Swallows, is named along with the Brave Warriors assistant coach Nation Dube and PSL duo George Chigova and Partson Jaure.

The Herald claims each party was offered $5 000 to underperform, and that an Italian living in South Africa was the ring-leader.

This all follows a statement from ZIFA late last night that it had suspended board member Edzai Kasinauyo on allegations of match-fixing – something the former Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows midfielder denies.
