Arrows too sharp for Milford

Posted: 5 March 2016 Time: 17:25

Golden Arrows are through to the Nedbank Cup last 16 draw after a 2-1 win against Milford FC on Saturday afternoon.

Abafana Bes'thende dominated against the ABC Motsepe League side, but had to wait until the 37th minute for the opener – Ryan Chapman getting the goal after a quick counter-attack.

And they had to wait until after the hour-mark for the second, and that came via the penalty spot after the keeper had fouled Kuda Mahachi, with the Zimbabwean netting himself.

However, Milford still had some fight in them and halved the deficit two minutes later when Siyabonga Vilane netted but, despite a viliant effort, could not get back into the game.
