Polokwane City say midfielder Nazier Jacobs is in good care following a car accident on Friday night.
The 25-year-old was involved in a car crash late last week, the details of which are yet to be determined, with his PSL club releasing a statement on the matter on Wednesday morning.
“Firstly, Polokwane City FC would like to officially put it on record that Nazier Mogamat Jacobs was indeed involved in a car accident on Friday midnight into Saturday morning the timing of the event is still sketchy at the moment,” the statement read.
“The club has been working with the police and the family to try and put the puzzles of what happened on that morning together and also to seek closure hence the delay of a statement from our side.
“The situation on its own is incomprehensible thus we had to wait for the right time following the police’s investigations.”
Rise and Shine reveal that Jacobs’ state is still critical, but he is in good care, and thanked those who have sent in their messages of support.
“‘Kaka’ as he is popularly known in the sporting fraternity is currently receiving the best care possible from a private hospital in the province of Limpopo and he is in a critical but manageable state,” the statement continued.
“The club would like to thank the staff, players, family and supporters for all the overwhelming messages.”
