Siphiwe Tshabalala has created the most chances and boasts the best average number of chances created per game than any other player in the PSL this season.
To date, the Kaizer Chiefs captain has nine Absa Premiership assists and 14 in all competitions. Check out all the Chiefs players’ goals and assists in all competitions here.
Only Daine Klate has more Absa Premiership assists than Tshabalala this season with 10. You can see those League statistics here.
The statistics show that ‘Shabba’ creates the most number of chances per game (3.2 on average).
However, having created 60 chances in the League so far this season, one could say Tshabalala’s Amakhosi teammates have also missed 51 of the scoring opportunities he has created.
Kurt Lentjies with six assists and 49 chances created (3.1 per game) has seen his Maritzburg United teammates miss 43 times following his provision.
Although probably the most frustrated of the top five is Thuso Phala, who with 60 chances created and five assists has watched his teammates squander 55 chances that have come from his boot.
Jabu Maluleke’s Polokwane City teammates have missed 52 of the chances he has created while Mpho Makola, having created 46 chances for his Orlando Pirates colleagues, only has one assist to his name. View Pirates' goals and assists in all competitions here.
Not surprisingly, all of the top five chance creators are set-piece takers for their teams.
