Thabo Nthethe says Sundowns confidence high

Posted: 1 March 2016 Time: 10:03

Thabo Nthethe says confidence is high at Mamelodi Sundowns going into tonight’s game against SuperSport United.

The Brazilians are on a 21-game unbeaten run in domestic football, and also beat Chicken Inn this past weekend to progress in the CAF Champions League

Nthethe, the stand-in skipper in the absence of the injured Ramahlwe Mphahlele, says the win against the Zimbabwean champions was a huge morale-booster.

“To win against Chicken Inn was good for the team going forward. It was do or die against them on and it’s good that we won the game at the end,” he says.

“Now going forward to the SuperSport game, it’s totally different. We know it’s going to be tough for us. SuperSport will come hard at us, but we are ready and will show that we want to continue getting results.”
