Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas has dedicated their historic win over Orlando Pirates to the injured players in his squad.
A solitary strike from striker Ayanda Nkosi lead Ea Lla Koto to a famous 1-0 victory over the Buccaneers at Goble Park on Wednesday night.
The hosts scored a late goal to steal all three points despite a dominant first half display from Eric Tinkler's side.
Solinas praised his outfit for grabbing their opportunity after dedicating the morale-boosting win to the injured players in his squad.
"This victory is dedicated to our injured players: Themba Shabalala, Davis Nkausu, Sthembiso Ngcobo, Andrea Fileccia and [Moeketsi] Sekola," said Solinas.
"This victory is for these guys... I think my team played very well and deserved to win.
"Pirates are a good team, who play good football, but I am very happy for my guys."
