Kaizer Chiefs' George Maluleka's reaction to Soweto Derby draw with Orlando Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says the team "were really looking for the three points" in their 1-1 draw with Soweto Derby rivals Orlando Pirates.

Amakhosi opened the scoring through Man of the Match Willard Katsande but Thamsanqa Gabuza equalised after the break at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Maluleka said: "It was a game of two halves. We started off very well, we dropped a little bit in the second half.

"We were able to catch them a couple of times on the counter, but ja, we could have won the game you know.

"We could have managed the game a bit easier, but we couldn't and got the draw.

"We were really looking for the three points."

The former Ajax Cape Town man added: "In the second half we didn't keep ball possession and we let them come at us a lot more."
