Central defender Musa Bilankulu has returned to Golden Arrows following his release from Bloemfontein Celtic last week.
The 29-year-old was spotted training with the Arrows squad today at the Moses Mabhida Stadium outer field as they prepare for Friday night's Absa Premiership clash at Ajax Cape Town.
Bilankulu was close to joining Maritzburg United but the move hit a snag, and the player has now returned to the club where he started 116 games and scored 17 goals before joining Bidvest Wits at the start of the 2013/14 season.
The player will be reunited with former coach Clinton Larsen and also knows assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi, who used to be the assistant to Manqoba Mgqithi when he was at Arrows.
Larsen says that, to his knowledge, the move has been finalised after the player made it clear that he wants to return having trained with the team for the past two days.
“I would think so [that the deal is done] and it should be by today and I hope it is, as he has been in talks with the club,” Larsen tells KickOff.com.
“He made it clear that he wants to be back at the club and let’s hope by the end of business today he will be an Arrows player.”
Bilankulu, who once formed a great partnership in central defence with Siyabonga Sangweni, was part of the Arrows side that won the MTN8 trophy in 2009 by beating Ajax at Orlando Stadium.
