Posted: 26 January 2016 Time: 13:53

Free State Stars are considering delving into the market following injuries to strikers Andrea Fileccia and Moeketsi Sekola.

According to the club's website, Fileccia's season is all but over after he suffered knee ligament damage following a poor challenge from Bloemfontein Celtic's Tshepo Rikhotso during the Free State derby on Saturday.

Fileccia, Ea Lla Koto's top scorer this campaign with six goals, will wear a brace for six weeks, while his rehabilitation is expected to take up to three months.

Sekola, who won the PSL's Golden Boot last term with 14 strikes, tore a hamstring in the 1-0 win over Phunya Sele Sele.

“We are scouring the market and assessing our options with a view to bringing in cover before the transfer window closes,” said Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena.
