Eleazar Rodgers looking to punish Kaizer Chiefs

Platinum Stars striker Eleazar Rodgers says another goal against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday at Cape Town Stadium would be a perfect way to return to his hometown.
The Dikwena striker has usually done well against Chiefs in recent matches and the Cape Town-born player feels that history can repeat itself in 2016.
“We have been struggling of late but that is due to the fact that the team is playing badly,” Rodgers tells KickOff.com.
“It’s just because things haven’t gone to plan and in more ways than one luck has deserted us, you know.
“But even if we get a draw it would be considered as two points taken off Chiefs and not two points lost. One should bear in mind that they are still the champions and should be respected.”
The 30-year-old former Santos, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town striker says although he is not certain of a place in the starting eleven, he is pretty confident the Rustenburg outfit will give it their all against Amakhosi.
“Look, we are aware of the fact that Chiefs have the necessary support as they always do wherever they play. But our players aren’t intimidated, doesn’t matter who gets picked.
“Playing against Chiefs on its own is a massive self-motivation and whoever starts will be upbeat for the task.
“This will be a good time for us to rise and shine and to show off our ability, but it would be nice if I can crown things off with a goal against them,” Rodgers concludes.
