Mamelodi Sundowns have lined up South American replacement for Bongani Zungu

Mamelodi Sundowns say they have lined up a South American midfielder to replace outgoing star Bongani Zungu.

The Bafana Bafana international has penned a two-year contract with Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimares, which will take effect at the end of the season.

Sundowns have wished Zungu well and assured their supporters the void will be filled once he exits Chloorkop.

“Young talented players must follow their dreams and Sundowns supports this and therefore made this move a reality for Bongani,” said Downs general manager Sizwe Nzimande.

According to the Brazilians' website, 'Nzimande reassured Masandawana that Sundowns had already found a more than suitable replacement for Zungu, as they have a South American midfielder lined up to join the club in the next transfer window.'
