Chippa United returnee David Zulu says injuries affected Kaizer Chiefs stay

Posted: 19 January 2016 Time: 12:42

David Zulu is happy to be back at Chippa United after a lean spell at Kaizer Chiefs.

Zulu initially left Chippa for Chiefs in October 2014, penning a four-year contract at Naturena.

However, the striker barely featured for the Soweto giants as a lengthy injury derailed his progress.

Zulu last week penned a short-term loan deal with the Chilli Boys, and naturally he is hungry for regular game-time in Port Elizabeth.

“I am happy to be here,” Zulu tells KickOff.com.

“I won't say I am here to revive my career but to get more game-time, that is important.

“You remember I was out action for 12 weeks after an operation and it was my first game in December after I last played in August.

“I am here to compete and I enjoyed being part of the team that played against Golden Arrows at the weekend.”

The 29-year-old was the National First Division's top scorer in 2013/14 with 16 goals for Black Leopards.
