Brazilians go back to the top

Mamelodi Sundowns won 2-1 in their Absa Premiership clash against University of Pretoria at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening.

Khama Billiat gave Sundowns a 23rd-minute lead, slotting neatly into the bottom-left corner with his right foot from Tebogo Langerman's cutback from the left edge of the penalty area.

Leonardo Castro doubled the Brazilians' lead in the 72nd minute with a superb piece of improvisation and acrobatics, receiving the ball in the area from Langerman, knocking it up and then scissor-kicking it over Arubi.

Thabo Mnyamane pulled one back for Tuks with ten minutes left, running onto a through-ball, beating Wayne Arendse for pace and nestling the ball into the bottom-left corner from a tight angle.

The result extends Sundowns' unbeaten run to 14 games and plunges Tuks further into the relegation mire.
