Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Keagan Buchanan has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
Buchanan, who missed much of last term with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, has made five starts and two substitute outings in the League this campaign.
The 24-year-old admits the latest setback is tough to process but he is trying to stay positive.
Buchanan told his club's website: “Regardless of the circumstances, I will remain positive. Initially when the news were broken, I was devastated because I wanted to help the team achieve a respectable position at the end of the season. Luckily the atmosphere at the team is amazing and there is unbelievable team spirit that will help keep me focused. I will be working hard enthusiastically for a speedy recovery.
“I would love to urge on my teammates to continue playing with diligence trying to win games at all costs,. A win against Chiefs is vital, especially after playing so many games without a win. I love my team and I am confident we will win on Sunday.”
