Transfer news: Mihlali Mayambela waits on Cape Town All Stars and Djurgardens

Posted: 12 January 2016 Time: 10:39

Cape Town All Stars midfielder Mihlali Mayambela is still in the country as his club is yet to agree on a transfer fee with Djurgardens.

Mayambela impressed on a trial with Djurgardens towards the end of last year, and has agreed personal terms with the Swedish outfit.

However, Mayambela's representative Mike Makaab says his client is currently playing the waiting game as he sees out the remainder of his contract in the Mother City.

"No he hasn't left the country, not yet," Makaab tells KickOff.com.

"The reason being we are still waiting for the two clubs to agree in terms of the transfer fee.

"I'm hoping that he does leave and his contract with Cape Town All Stars does end at the end of this season and one way or the other he's going to be going."

Mayambela has only made three league appearances for his National First Division employers this campaign.

Mayamabela is aiming to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Mark, who had a stint with Djurgardens before returning to South Africa to play for Royal Eagles last term.

Mark joined Chippa United in the off-season but is set to turn out for SuperSport United after recently confirming his departure from the Chilli Boys.
