Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday’s Absa Premiership clash against Platinum Stars.
The Buccaneers take on Dikwena at Orlando Stadium at 15h30 on Saturday in their first game of 2016 but Jele is a doubt after picking up a thigh strain against Mamelodi Sundowns last month.
“Happy suffered a grade three tear in the game against Mamelodi Sundowns late last year. He has been working with the medical team on a rehabilitation programme since returning from the festive break. He is due to undergo a fitness test later in the week to determine his availability for the match against Platinum Stars,” the club’s medical team says on their website.
Oupa Manyisa is still undergoing strength and conditioning training with the medical team following his recovery from a fractured fibula and remains sidelined.
Menzi Masuku also remains out of action and is undergoing ultrasound and strength training on a foot injury, while Letsie Koapeng has a groin strain and is expected to be out for two weeks.
