PSL transfer news: Jomo Cosmos assess Malawian midfielder John Banda

Posted: 5 January 2016 Time: 12:52

Malawian midfielder John Banda has arrived at Jomo Cosmos for trials at the invitation of club boss Jomo Sono.

Banda will start his assessment this afternoon at Cosmos’ training grounds near Rand Stadium in the hope of impressing and winning a contract.

KickOff.com has been told that Sono just wants to have a final look at the attacking midfielder who has a knack of scoring goals.

Sono initially spotted Banda at the COSAFA Cup last year.

Banda plays for Blue Eagles in Malawi which is the same team that his compatriot Micium Mhone played for prior to joining Cosmos.

Cosmos currently have one foreign space to spare which means they can sign Banda during the current transfer window.
