Chippa back to winning ways

Buyani Sali fired Chippa United to a much-needed victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in Friday’s only PSL encounter on Friday night at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
It was the visitors took a slender 1-0 lead into the half-time break, Vuyani Ntanga’s deflected effort on 14 minutes handing Phunya Sele Sele the lead. This after Hellings Mhango hit the crossbar following an early free-kick.
Chippa tried to work their way back into the encounter after going behind, dominating possession yet failing to deliver the killer ball for a visibly frustrated Aristide Bance.
However, it looked a different and fired up Chilli Boys outfit in the second half, and drew level just five minutes in as William Twala danced his way through before unleashing an unstoppable shot to beat Patrick Tignyemb in goal.
Chippa then completed the comeback as substitute Joseph Molangoane flew down the right before laying off the ball to Buyani Sali who slotted superbly home from the edge of the area to put the hosts in front.
The victory sees the Port Elizabeth side move up to joint-sixth in the PSL standings, level with beaten opponents Celtic.
