Bidvest Wits midfielder Papy Faty tells KickOff.com he is “fine” despite spending two days in hospital after collapsing during a friendly match.

Wits took on SuperSport United in a friendly match on Tuesday and the Burundi international collapsed after coming on a substitute in a 1-1 draw before he was rushed to Milpark Hospital.

He was discharged on Thursday but will report back to the hospital for further testing as he continues to be monitored.

“I’m fine, but I can’t tell you when I will start training,” Faty tells KickOff.com.

Asked if he was given a medical explanation for his passing out, Faty says he does not want to reveal the reason.

“I was told by the doctors not to speak to the media so I can’t tell you anything. I’m just fine.”

Wits’ next match is a trip to Cape Town where they will take on defending champions Kaizer Chiefs on December 19.
