Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane reaction to Telkom Knockout quarter-final clash with Free State Stars

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane expressed happiness for Mogakolodi Ngele after the midfielder scored in a man-of-the-match display against Free State Stars on Sunday.

Ngele has featured sparingly for the Brazilians since switching alliances from Platinum Stars in the off-season.

However, the Botswana international bolstered his claim for regular game-time in Downs' 6-1 humiliation of Stars in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals.

Mosimane said: "I am happy for Ngele, the poor boy needed a break. We have tried to introduce him slowly, so I am happy for him."

Meanwhile, 'Jingles' revealed he was far from happy when his men were 3-1 up at the break.

"I think the first half can be divided into two parts, the 3-0 and then 3-1. Had they scored a goal when they hit the post then we could have been talking something different.

"That was why I was very upset in the changeroom and made changes. I had to sub Billiat to have a three-man midfield."

He added: "We made sure a fullback must stay when one attacks. Then we controlled the game and the goals came."
