Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic played out to a goalless draw in the weekend’s only Absa Premiership game.
Arrows had the better of the chances, and Celtic will thank goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb for earning them a point.
Mabhuti Khenyeza was busy throughout, and he almost caught Patrick Tignyemb out in the third minute with a snapshot which went just over.
The goalkeeper saved from Andile Fikizolo soon afterwardsm before Khenyeza was again denied.
Khenyeza had two more shots saved before Tignyemb kept out Deon Hotto’s shot with a sensational save in time added on.
Celtic were a little better after the break, with Helder Pelembe twice forcing Maximilliam Mbeava into saves in teh early minutes.
Gladwin Shitolo gave Tignyemb more work to do at the other end, but it was a half of few chances and ultimately the teams settled for a share of the spoils.
The point sees Celtic join Platinum Stars and Mpumalanga Black Aces at the top of the standings with 14 points, while Arrows are down in eighth with eight points.
