Kudakwashe Mahachi cleared for Golden Arrows

Posted: 2 October 2015 Time: 10:38

Kudakwashe Mahachi is free to play for Golden Arrows after winning his case against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Zimbabwean forward took the Brazilians to the PSL DRC in a bid to get his clearance due to a lack of game-time at Chloorkop.

Sundowns were thought to be okay with letting the player go, but reportedly wanted to insert a clause that would see him return to the club at the end of the season.

Arrows announced Mahachi’s capture on 25 September, but the deal had been held up by this issue.

However, PSL spokesperson Lux September confirms the ruling, telling KickOff.com: “The DRC met yesterday and ruled the case in favour of the player. Sundowns were ordered to issue his clearance.”

It remains to be seen whether Mahachi will be eligible to face Ajax Cape Town in the Telkom Knockout tomorrow.
