Ajax's Mosa Lebusa thrilled with Bafana call-up for friendlies with Costa Rica, Honduras

Ajax Cape Town left-back Mosa Lebusa says his maiden Bafana Bafana call-up caught him off guard.

Bafana coach Ephraim Mashaba yesterday drafted in Lebusa and FC Twente midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo into his squad for friendlies with Costa Rica and Honduras on October 9 and 14.

'Shakes' enlisted the duo after an ankle injury and health concerns ruled out Orlando Pirates playmaker Oupa Manyisa and Ajax striker Prince Nxumalo respectively.

"I’m excited to hear this news, although I wasn’t expecting it," Lebusa told his club's website.

"I am very happy about being called up to play for Bafana, because it’s always been my dream to represent my country.

"Now that dream has come true for me, I will do my best to grab this opportunity and do everyone proud who has kept believing in me," insisted the 22-year-old.
