AmaZulu defender Marc van Heerden wants more of the same following 4-0 win over Moroka Swallows

Posted: 1 October 2015 Time: 10:54

AmaZulu fullback Marc van Heerden says the promotion hopefuls must build on their 4-0 humbling of Moroka Swallows.

Usuthu humiliated the Dube Birds via goals from Petrus Shitembi, Linda Bhengu, Ayabulela Konqobe and Bornwell Mwape in KwaMashu, Durban last weekend.

Steve Barker's side are fifth in the NFD standings with eight points from five games - five points behind leaders Baroka FC ahead of the visit of Mthatha Bucks on Sunday.

“We needed that victory and to score four goals boosted our confidence and belief,” Van Heerden told his club's website.

“We now need to go to our next match with the same attitude of winning, especially since we are playing at home.

“I think we are in the right direction and we must continue working hard and take our opportunities,” added the Bafana Bafana international.

AmaZulu were relegated from the Absa Premiership last season along with Swallows.
