Former Jomo Cosmos midfielder Lebo Morula’s bid to spend the festive season at home with his family was unsuccessful after he was denied bail by a Pretoria magistrate last week.
Morula was appearing on charges brought against him on an allegation of driving a stolen vehicle.
The former Ezenkosi midfielder, who also had a stint as the club’s development side coach, has been in jail for more than five months.
He is set to make another court appearance in January.
