Maritzburg's former coach Mandla Ncikazi expressed hope the club would recruit Nale to replace Nhlanhla Vilakazi following a home loss to Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

However, United's team manager Quintin Jettoo has ruled out a deal as the struggling outfit prioritises sourcing a successor for the fired Ncikazi.

"He's not training with us anymore," Jettoo tells KickOff.com.

"The thing is we are now busy and the coach is not here any longer, so it is very difficult to sign the player without the coach. We can't look at that now and we have to focus on a replacement for the coach.

"We are not unhappy with the players we have... we are okay. We want to support them in getting the positive result now."

Nale, who has confirmed he is back home in Johannesburg, was released by Mpumalanga Black Aces last month.

The winger previously played for Golden Arrows, Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town.
